The Grand Shar distinctly portrays the origin of its roots. The Spiral One was one of the iconic timepieces of Dubey & Schaldenbrand. The craftwork of this mesmerizing piece has been used as an inspiration for the Grand Shar.
The Spiral One timepiece is known for its spiral on the chronograph hand, presenting the patent from the 40’s, identified as the Index Mobile Split-Second. This astonishing piece also has an Art Deco dial, with hand-engraved precision. The chronographs are also more distinctly presented
While admiring the Grand Shar timepiece, it becomes evident that we have given this original timepiece a modern case to be branded as the “ronde” Dubey. A special polish and satin finish has been applied on the watchcase, giving it a fresh ambiance.
The multi layered dial, “Cote de Genève” finish in the middle makes this piece extra distinctive. This technique on the dial is normally used on the movement of other timepieces but we appreciated the pattern and wanted to showcase it on the dial.
All these unprecedented adjustments have been done to the Spiral One, except the movement remaining the same but with a new finishing technique done to it. One can notice the sophisticated open case-back that allows any to appreciate the delicate movement inside.
