Dubey & Schaldenbrand aspires to work with like-minded individuals that are driven by passion. Jonatan Gil first met the talented artist, Mr. Armendariz at Art Basel, Miami in 2015.
Emil Armendariz, known as Mr. Debonair is someone who we had the privilege of meeting. It was clear that they shared similar mindsets, ambitions and love for art. As Mr. Debonair believes, “There’s no such thing as luck. ‘Luck’ is the what you get when you’re ready for an opportunity that presents itself. You are going to run into opportunities all the time; some of those opportunities will test you to the limit and some will be a drop in the bucket,” it can certainly be understood that Mr. Gil seized the opportunity that presented itself to work with Mr. Debonair in creating this eye-catching timepiece.
Mr. Debonair has worked hard over eighteen years to be more different, adding a distinctive niche in customizing motorcycles by painting on them. For his clients it’s not only about getting something painted on their bikes, but rather seen as much more personal. Mr. Debonair believes that, “A Debonair piece of work will stand the test of time and definitely give you bragging rights.” He has expanded into customizing cars, grenades, fine art, limousines, productive development and art gallery shows.
Mr. Gil choose the Structure timepiece for this work of art. It is the recognizable tonneau shape with annual calendar, moon phase and triple counter chronograph. After the middle part was hand-painted by the talented artist, Mr. Gil trusted him enough due to the quality of his work and so further decided to ask Mr. Debonair to paint on the case too.
To complete the work, the timepiece is delivered with a grenade painted along with the timepiece. The timepiece keeps all its original function with its automatic movement.
