Presenting a World Premiere The Spiral - Verso VIP
Dubey & Schaldenbrand is defining fine arts in watchmaking and abolishing the era of hidden beauty.
The Spiral-Verso VIP is the only timepiece displaying its heart and soul all time long; a ticking testimony to pure artistry in fine watchmaking, pushing forward the limits in micromechanics.
With its revolutionary flying case, this mechanical odyssey rotates in all directions, proudly highlighting the hand-engraved, decorated, gold-finish movement.
As if emerging from the depths of the ocean, with its pearlized royal galuchat strap, this dazzling measurement of time, fitted in a 41 x 48 mm case, offers a chronograph with 3 counters, triple date and a moon phase as well as a chronometer quality escapement, stop-second and a self-winding mechanical movement from Dubey & Schaldenbrand.
It reveals 6 blued half spheres set on a brushed dial, crowned with the unique blue vintage 1946 spiral in tribute to the very famous Index Mobile, invented by Georges Dubey.
The Spiral-Verso VIP draws on the tradition of the house of Dubey & Schaldenbrand and the ancient techniques of hand-engraving, still being performed by artists from Les Ponts-de-Martel in the Swiss Jura, in the same way, using the same original tools as in the sixteenth century. Hand-engraving is very dear to the brand's roots; a clear message from the Dubey & Schaldenbrand heritage, style and passion for vintage movements. It is not only meant to show a perception of beauty, but also the seal of fine watchmaking, combining tradition and state-ofthe-art techniques, thus making each Dubey & Schaldenbrand a unique measurement of time. The result is a modern work of art incorporating the historical aspect of the brand while moving beyond mere retro-styling.
